The studio

Matthew James Collins personal workspace is a purpose built 19th century north light artist studio.  The entire palazzo was commissioned by the Florentine painter Michele Gordigiani and sculptor Ulisse Cambi.  The architect who designed the building, Emilio di Fabris, also created the façade for the Duomo of Firenze and the Basilica of Santa Croce.
