“Autumn” at the Carriage House National Juried Exhibition

Autumn, oil on linen, 30cm x 40cm

My painting “Autumn” won 2nd place at this year’s Oak Park Art League’s Carriage House National Juried Exhibition.  It is a great feeling to be appreciated in one’s home town.  I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone at the OPAL and the juror, Margot McMahon.  The show is still on so please stop by if you happen to be in the area.  More info about the show can be found here.  The list of the winners can be found directly here.

  1. Now that looks like a real apple! I like the natural lighting. Less dramatic than the usual well lit still life, but resulting in a more substantial looking apple with rich color that gives welcome relief fom the typical bright reds.

  2. Thank you very much Shane!
